Design, develop, and support automated equipment to improve workflow and product testing. Collaborate with engineering staff and technicians to install, maintain, modify and repair control systems, equipment and component parts.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
Programming experience in LabVIEW, Python, Visual Basic, and/or C++ preferred.
Experience with measuring and data acquisition systems preferred.
Experience designing and building fluid systems or hydraulics preferred.
Training in motion control and/or robotics preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and implement test stand programs and
Perform the detailed design for control system projects by converting engineering requirements and system design into purchase requisitions, drawings, instrumentation designs, and installation details.
Select, specify, and design the installation of control element devices to measure and/or manipulate flows, energy, positions, speeds, and other variables.
Provide detailed information for the development and deployment of control systems.
Recommend and implement equipment improvements to increase operational
Design and Build control systems to automate
Develop equipment operating procedures and preventative maintenance schedules.
Formulate all required documentation and user instructions to transfer essential knowledge to operators and technicians.
Train operators and technicians on the usage of equipment and test
Work closely with design engineers to maintain new product development program
Troubleshoot advanced control
Oversee the implementation, testing, operation, and maintenance of new processes or equipment.
Troubleshoot, test, repair, and improve sensing, measurement, and actuation devices.
Develop and perform tests to validate control system compliance with functional requirements.
Perform complex tasks required to maintain equipment functionality and minimize down
Support the calibration of test equipment with detailed instructions and
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations to maintenance crew members and/or technicians.
Assist in calibrating equipment and developing calibration processes.
