Minimum Qualifications |
- BS degree in an engineering-related discipline is required.
- Must be proficient in operation of a computer and using Microsoft word, excel, and outlook.
- General knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Familiar with quality assurance principles, inspection techniques, testing procedures, and statistical analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities |
- Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Provides Quality System technical expertise and/or support to business, suppliers, and other functional teams.
- Utilize preventative quality techniques to improve product quality, reduce in-line defects, and reduce scrap.
- Initiates and follows up on CAPA and NC of product or processes.
- Initiates and executes continuous improvement activities for established processes and supports development of new processes, including use of lean and six sigma tools and problem-solving tools (8D, 5-whys, cause and effect, etc.)
- Supports and facilitates APQP activities to improve new product development and production and to meet customer requirements.
- Develop internal Quality Plans to account for 100% of all design characteristics.
- Develop and analyze statistical data and specifications to indicate present product and process standards and establish proposed quality reliability expectancy of finished product.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Attend design reviews as a quality representative to evaluate compliance, proper inspection points, etc. as required.
- Performs production and quality systems audits.
- Review customer orders for quality flow-down requirements and compliance to flow-down requirements in support of Quality Assurance.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
- Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
- Establish and maintain good customer rapport, while driving solutions to meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain a strong spirit of partnership.
- Work with suppliers to improve overall quality of supplier chain.
